Thanks for compiling this! I too would like a syphon alternative to use in an openGL environment, so hopefully the vvvv one or another pops up soon. I HATE Apple hardware.

please install the petes freeframe plugins.
Any other errors can be ignored, you can simple edit the FX to remove plugins that are not available..
I will make an update that doesn't include freeframe FX in the near future.

I am planning an intro video tutorial, but some other projects are getting in the way of these xtras right now.

But the basic getting started steps are:
1: open Syst3m (ensure you first have installed the correct Isadora version.. the Pete Warden freeframe addon also helps but is not required)
2: Import some video media (quicktime files are easiest)
3: Make sure the Patch is running (Output->Resume Engine if available)
4: Activate a 'Player' module (on button)
5: Select a video in one of the 'Players', by clicking a thumbnail.
6: Select the output channel, by selecting a channel number using the Channel select pulldown, located bottom right corner of the 'Player' module. It is colored Yellow. (eg: out 1)
7: Activate a 'Projector' module (on button)
8: Select input channel via input channel pulldown (top left, under ON), make sure it matches the channel number you selected for your 'Player' module.

You should see the video playing in the Projector Preview Monitor. If not check you modules are active, that Isadoras engine is active, and try to reset your channel selections.

Go full screen: Click Stage ON, top left of interface, just above the large preview panel. If already selected click OFF first, and then ON again.

You should now have fullscreen video output if you have multiple monitors setup.
If fullscreen has taken over your primary screen press "ctrl+g" to exit the stage output. You may need to edit the preferences to correct this.

I hope this helps get a few of you started.

Please right click/alt click the Download link, and select save as.
This should allow you to get the actor.
I need to do a little more config to the server/site to allow more file types as native downloads.
Cheers.
